Brands that take back used clothing and sell it themselves face practical challenges: ensuring quality, hygienic refurbishment, maintaining brand standards – while meeting customers’ expectations for like-new goods.

The pieces should be not only hygienically impeccable, but also appear, feel, and function like new. This is exactly where we come in – with material-appropriate cleaning, targeted repairs to buttons, seams, or zippers, as well as shape fixing and finishing for high-quality enhancement, plus waterproofing. This is followed by quality control according to defined standards

Our Recommerce services

Especially in the recommerce segment for outdoor items, WKS offers special retrofitting processes that restore the functional properties of used textiles – such as a “water-resistant” or “water-repellent” finish. In this way, second-hand items can be enhanced not only visually and in quality, but also functionally optimized for a second use. In doing so, we of course rely exclusively on environmentally friendly “C-zero” chemistry without harmful fluorine compounds.

Even with recommerce goods, signs of use and soiling cannot always be avoided – whether from stains from previous use, residues from storage and transport, or contamination from the original production.

Through professional stain removal, these residues are gently removed without mechanical stress. This allows textiles to be thoroughly cleaned, visually enhanced, and returned to a marketable condition – ideal for successful resale in recommerce.

If, despite multiple checks before delivery to the customer’s warehouse, sewing issues occur or items were otherwise produced with defects, WKS can professionally repair them on site.

With modern cleaning systems based on perchloroethylene or hydrocarbons, finished garments are cleaned, stains removed, and given water-repellent or antistatic finishes. Even insufficient rub fastness can be significantly improved.
